2018 Brings the Ramble Hotel to 25th & Larimer!
2017 was a simply wonderful year with some fantastic events & now we step into 2018 with a full plate of fantastic artists ready to share with our community!
25th & Larimer is once again rising to the top of the pack as "the destination spot" in Denver. The new Ramble Hotel development opening this Spring will bring a wonderful vibe to our little "neck-of-the-woods" on North Larimer Street in the RiNo Art Neighborhood. The corner now becomes a perfect gathering / jumping-off point for activities in Denver with Work & Class, Topo Designs, Cart-Driver stone fired pizza (and it's new out-door community space), Los Chingones, 2520 LAR... and soon the Ramble Hotel with so much more. The Ramble will provide an optimal destination for "happening / hip" visitors and locals to walk & enjoy everything the River North / RiNo / Art District neighborhood offers; as well as, the Ball Park & Down Town neighborhoods. The Ramble concept is much more than most of us contemplate when we think "hotel"... it is more a community gathering space that will rival the Central Market as a destination spot with its' high ceiling, wide open, shared space main lobby floor. Imagine: a Salsa themed restaurant from the same incredible talent behind Denver's ever popular Work & Class; combined with, a variety of bars from Death & Co - the brilliant bar proprietors out of New York City... spice it all up with a variety of entertainment, amenities, meeting & mingling spaces... now that's a hotel! Most important - the project brings PARKING to 25th & Larimer! I can not wait.
This incredibly cool community boutique hotel concept is being developed by Ryan Diggins, owner of Gravitas Development with his fantastic team lead by Tom Sprung, owner of Sprung Construction. This is the same team with the creative genius and juice to bring Denver it's first "container" project right at 25th & Larimer; as well as, one of the city's very few truly community / neighborhood concerned developers.
Brian Trybus Designs Studio will actually get to be a small part of the project: creating the hotel's main lobby bar in collaboration with Death & Co's incredible designer Alex Day. (That is going to be one "must see" bar for Denver with an ebonized oak face, white marble top & massive arches... OH MY)! Proceeds from that & other commercial projects will help Michel & I fund our "art addiction" at 2520 LAR, allowing us to bring the utmost in an art / entertainment to the neighborhood this year! New in 2018: with the help of "Super Sara" & the "Gallery Gals" we will be hosting our favorite & best selling artists; combined with: additional modern abstract painting; photographic art; sculpture & 3-D art; mid-mod design creations; live music & entertainment... all highlighting the wide variety of artistic talent available in our grand city. Of course we will also exhibit more Trybus Family art work which many of you have appreciated (thanks for the support)!
First Friday February is the real kick-off for 2018 @2520lar (follow us on Instagram & soon on Facebook) live music will be "Lord Cornwallis" performing old-school rock. We'll have live / interactive art demonstrations through-out the month & new art work on display. (Look for more details on the RiNo site and our social media).
Two last notes:
1) Don't forget to keep 2520 LAR in mind for your event space needs. We have a fabulous, artsy, eclectic space that can be leased out for pop-up & special events.
2) Thank you to everyone who helped out, attended events and supported 2520 LAR this past year. We also wanted to thank the local publications that have help promote our events; including: the Denver Post, the RiNo Crow, Denver Arts & Venues and the Denver News. Following is a copy of the Denver News write-up on some of our shows / events last year (right hand side of the page with the blue antique car photograph):
